Confirmation is a sacrament in the Anglican Church.  It includes the Bishop laying their hands on one’s head and the confirmands or candidates being sealed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

The purpose of  Confirmation is to help a person remain faithful to their baptismal covenant as witnesses of Christ and to serve others.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are meant to strengthen one’s Christian life, so their life can be fruitful and complete. These gifts include wisdom, understanding, knowledge, counsel, fortitude, piety, and wonder and awe.
