The Parish of St. James and St. Brendan gather in the traditional territory, first of the Neutral people, then of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and the Niagara Purchase Treaty and is within the land protected by the Dish with One Spoon Wampum agreement.
