![]() Our church sanctuary is open every Friday morning from 9-12 (during the Farmer's Market) for anyone needed a rest or a quiet opportunity for prayer. Even visitors who have never seen the interior of our church, the stained glass windows, or the historic architecture are welcome to come and pay a visit. Contemplative music and candles create a mood for rest and meditation. So come by for a visit the next time you are visiting the market.

I was a member of the St. James Anglican Church, from about 1954, to 1968 when my family moved to Sarnia, Ontario, where my father went to teach music in the Sarnia school system. My father, Howard Brawn, had been church organist for much of that time. The Reverend Canon, (Duke) Standish was the rector, but many people remembered Homer Ferris, who had baptised me. I think you will find the baptisms of five or six Brawn children in your register. I think my Grandmother, Mabel Brawn was buried out of your church. My Grandfather and she, had been married sometime around 1913 at Christ Church Wainfleet. My father was born, in Wainfleet in 1927. All of this means little to you, of course. I have fond memories of St. James. Can you imagine I was there when the red Book of Common Prayer was relatively new.
