The ministry of Jesus was always overshadowed by his own sense of destiny with the cross. At every twist and turn, the cross loomed large, leading and reminding Jesus of his great, coming confrontation with evil and death. This Lent, as we follow Jesus on that journey, we observe the "Road Signs" - the stories and actions of Christ which reveal his true identity and purpose. The journey begins March 5th.
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent. These 40 days prior to Easter are spent focusing our hearts as we prepare for the celebration of the great gift of life provided by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. We observe Lent through repentance and self-denial, the goal of which is to remember the great gift of redemption and the hope we have in Jesus, as well as our joy in sharing that hope with others. Join us at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday March 5th. Breakfast to follow.
