George Bailey is a champion of the underdogs, and he himself isn’t all that famous. Fame is no guarantee of success, and sometimes the quietest lives speak the loudest. Today we begin our journey through Frank Capra's "It's a Wonderful Life," and we discover that God uses ordinary people for his purposes. Most times it's not the rich and famous that God chooses: He prefers ordinary folks - the George Bailey's of the world. After all, the Christmas story itself is about fairly ordinary folks being used for God's purposes. Today we salute the "ordinariness" of life, and the part that we play in bringing God's Kingdom to life.
