"New Mercies Every Day" Written and performed by by Rebecca Zimmer
For most of us, work is a drag. We count down the minutes to the end of the work day, and we count down the years until retirement. But while we dislike work, God LOVES work. He created it after all! So how can we find meaning and purpose in our work? More importantly, how can we find GOD in our work? Join us this Sunday as we explore how GOD can become central to our daily tasks and work, not matter how insignificant they may seem. For, as William J. Bennett said, "There are no menial tasks, only menial attitudes."
"Do Everything" Steven Curtis Chapman
Do you "work to live?" Or, do you "live to work?" Which ever category you fall into, perhaps there is a better way to understand our relationship between faith and work. The answer is found in the word "Vocation". A vocation is far more than a job, it is the work we do in response to God's call in our lives.
Today we ask the questions: Is my work a vocation? How is my work connected to God's work? Does my work count for anything? Will any of the work I do outlast my life? Join us this Sunday as we conclude our four week study of The Connected Life.
