Prayer
& Daily Devotionals

In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice;  in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.   Psalm 5:3

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Psalm 19:14

Alone With the Lord

Personalize Your Prayers

Daily, Christians are in need of Divine help - faith in the certainty that God, through the Holy Spirit, will teach us to pray appropriately and will also hear our prayers. All prayers so offered are answered.

Prayer

Prayer should be an integral part of every day.
Pray in solitude in a quiet, peaceful setting.
Prayers, when possible, should be offered aloud.
Prayers should be personal and heartfelt.
Prayer supplements church and Bible study.
Prayer groups reinforce daily prayer.

Prayers should include the following elements:

praise for God’s creation, love, grace
calling on the Holy Spirit
acknowledgement of Christ's sacrifice
thanksgiving for life’s blessings
confession of sins
asking for forgiveness
1st person language   (“I”)
promise of discipleship
requests for others (intercession)
Amen.
